DD Interior Design owner, Diana Deitrick, has art , dance and design in her blood. Diana was born in Colombia and lived in Venezuela in her early childhood and has lived mostly in Southern California, she is a city girl at heart and brings diverse cultural influences to her formal interior design training. Diana is a curious and adventurous soul, she loves to travel and have meaningful conversations and live life to its fullest. Her mission is to be able to serve, inspire and uplift others through her designs.
Diana has created sophisticated, comfortable and eclectic interiors throughout Southern California. A designer with over ten years experience in the industry, Diana embodies a perfect combination of traditional interior design principles with a sophisticated, modern perspective. Diana specializes in residential interiors including remodels, new builds and luxury spec homes.
Diana’s interior design and theory is based on three pillars: Creativity, Function and Personalization. Diana has a passion for cultivating creativity within her firm, thinking out of the box mentality in order to create spaces that are inspiring and empowering. Function is a must in her designs, she believes that in order to be a good design it must meet the demands of its environment and serve the function of its users. Diana carefully evaluates each space and her clients in order to create a personalized design that people can connect with, live in and enjoy.
Diana has an Interior Architecture Degree from the American Intercontinental University of Los Angeles and interned with celebrity designer Kelly Wearstler at her Los Angeles studio at Kelly Wearstler Inc. She worked as the Senior Interior Design manager at Chateau Group USA, a luxury real estate development and design firm for the last 5 years, designing luxury projects ranging from 3,000 sq ft to 18,000 sq ft. Diana currently divides her time between Los Angeles and San Antonio TX and works independently with a wide range of projects from one time consultations to complete renovations and new builds.
In 2010, the National Association of Professional Women named Diana “Woman of the Year” in interior design.
